GE 50 Pint Smart Dehumidifier

My take

This humidifier has been a workhorse for the past two summers. It is wifi enabled and allows us to adjust the desired humidity levels as we need to. I placed it in the basement directly in front of the air intake, so it processes all incoming air to our house. I also used a drain hose to a floor drain to that we didn't have to keep emptying the bin. It was easily filling up 2 times a day! The app also has energy readouts so you can see how much energy itd using over time. Overall, it has been effective at reducing our overall humidity readings throughout the house. I've owned this for a year or two, and my biggest complaint is that it's an energy hog. The bill definitely goes up the months it's in use, but it does reduce the humidity. I would be open to trying a different kind, but this one is good.
